An Adirondack style king bed, with headboard and footboard painted red, frames a pillowtop mattress topped with a down duvet and an Amish style quilt. Painted wood walls are adorned with local photography and a wall-mounted tv. The custom rustic wood standing mirror, white birch and hickory desk and Alder wood wardrobe flank the four operable windows overlooking the park and the quaint town square of Clayton. Wood beams and reclaimed barnwood on the ceiling complement the original hardwood floors. Wool Aztec draperies and area rug bring warmth to this sunny corner bedroom. Adjacent to the bedroom, is a separate sitting area complete with a massive stone fireplace, decorative barnwood ceiling, custom-built barnwood daybed with lounging cushion and pillows, topped with laurel branches on the ceiling. The lighting in this suite combines black wrought iron and naturally shed antlers on its lamps and chandeliers. The main feature in the ensuite bathroom is a custom, locally made white birch vanity with hammered copper vessel sink and wall-hung faucets. Vintage heart pine wood planks were lovingly installed on the walls, which complement the chocolate Saltillo tile floors inlaid with mosaic accents. Visible through the glass door, the shower is tiled with the same accent mosaic. Due to this suite’s location you will hear a bit of street noise.
