Mountain Laurel Suite

435 Square Feet

A king hickory canopy bed, draped with fabric, has a pillowtop mattress set wrapped with a down duvet and topped with a faux sable fur blanket. Black iron lanterns hang over antiqued nightstands. The luxurious bed, across from the stone fireplace and recessed TV, is surrounded by lapped wood and bark walls, a tin ceiling and original hardwood floors, covered with a wool Kilim rug. Furnishings include a velvet sofa, ottoman, a dresser, a large rustic full-length mirror and embroidered linen draperies. An extra bonus for this suite is the barn door that opens up into the extra-large closet with split hanging rods, one high enough for wedding or evening gowns. Through the three operable windows, this suite affords a view overlooking town, with the mountains in the distance. The decadent ensuite bath has travertine marble floors and, not only a large tiled shower, but also a hammered copper soaking tub with handheld spray, in front of a wall of flickering flameless candles peeking through an exotic wood vine room divider. The chandelier with its amber-colored crystals, lights up the stone vanity topped with two hand-painted vessel sinks.

Amenities for all guestrooms and suites include a hickory luggage rack, a personal safe, iron, ironing board, daily maid service, evening turndown service, full a la carte breakfast, early morning coffee and teas, and happy hour wine and cheese in the Guest Lounge. All beds include fine white Egyptian cotton sheets made in Portugal, a 100% goose down duvet, and down pillows. All baths include fluffy white towels and cotton robes. Additional venues within The White Birch Inn include the Hemlock Sundeck, The Gym, The Screened Porch, The White Birch Patio, The Breakfast Room and Lobby.
