Couples’ “Wild and Scenic” Section III White Water Rafting Package

Whitewater rafting on the Chattooga River is one of the most unforgettable experiences in the Southeast. Designated “Wild & Scenic” by Congress in 1974, forever preserving its rugged river gorge. The Chattooga River offers breathtaking scenery, treasured whitewater all in an unmatched wilderness setting.

Chattooga Section 3 offers a more “mild and scenic” rafting adventure to experience swimming holes, Class II-III rapids and an exciting Class IV finish at Bull Sluice.

Because of the wilderness nature of the Chattooga, guests must be at least 8 years of age or older and capable of carrying rafts & gear 1/4 mile to and from the river on an inclined trail. While most of our guests have no prior experience, this is a strenuous trip that does require a spirited sense of adventure. We don’t recommend it if you have a Body Mass Index greater than 40. For your safety, you must be an active and effective paddler in the raft, capable of acting on guide instructions.

This trip will last approximately 5-6 hours, with four hours on the river and the rest on trip preparation and riverside lunch.
